About

Fosse Controllers is a sole proprietorship based in Norway and was established by Øyvind Fosse in 2018.

As a hobby and church musician, and a long-time user of software instruments, I was searching for a dedicated MIDI controller for a software Hammond organ. When I couldn’t find one, I decided to build it myself. Shortly after, Fosse Controllers was founded with the goal of creating high-quality MIDI controllers for VST instruments—controllers that look and feel like real instruments.

Fosse Controllers is a part-time business I run alongside a full-time job and family responsibilities (In my day job, I work as an associate professor of education in teacher training). As a result, it typically takes a few weeks to complete each controller. Since this is a small-scale operation, production costs are high and profit margins are low—but I strive to keep prices as affordable as possible.

Each controller is made to order, and currently, there is a fairly long waiting list for the finished MIDI controllers (possibly over a year). If you’d like to place an order, just get in touch and I’ll add you to the waiting list—no deposit required, and no commitment to buy.

Parts for DIY MIDI controllers are either in stock or ready to ship within a few weeks.

I ship worldwide, and so far my products have reached customers in the USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, Germany, Switzerland, and France—with many more to come.

Please note that Norway is not a member of the EU, so imports from Norway may be subject to customs duties (typically 20–25%), even within Europe.
